I'm guessing some plonker got bored at the bus stop and kicked the wing mirror off my SG9 FSTi (it was attached fine when I left it nearby).
The cable is snapped and the aluminium(?) shaft that goes from base into the mirror is broken fairly cleanly. The rest is hopefully fine - barely a scratch on the mirror housing.

Any recommendations? I'd probably be able to get a new shaft made up if it's easy enough to remove, but the bolts holding the base of the mirror into the door mount are very tight and tricky - I expect I will need a professional just to remove it.
