Hi, does anyone have any suggestions on a full exhaust system for my 2004 FSTI?
Also any suggestions on a decent remap place in Surrey? I live near Gatwick airport.
Thanks, Martyn.

Mmmmm, well if you want a new FULL exhaust, Milltek or Hayward and Scott spring to mind, but it will cost a bob or two. And then there's a place called Greenwood racing who seem to be advertising something, though I've heard no comment as yet as to their goodness.  Impreza exhausts of a similar age can be pressed into service with about 30mm lengthening, a second hand SS one of those could be a cheap route if you're handy at welding stainless (nice). As you're in Surrey by all accounts you should be having a word with Duncan at Racedynamix for the remap, he works at Surrey Rolling Road a fair bit; I'd talked to him about having mine done and found him most helpful, although he's rarely up this way.

Now that Simon is no longer with us, I'd agree Duncan is the man to speak to and SRR is definitely the place to go. Charlie knows his onions and is a nice chap too, so well worth using his facilities.

Regarding the exhaust, H&S stuff is good. What do you have on there currently? May be as well to pick and choose parts.

Be aware, the FSTi is a bit of a pain to do piecemeal as it is based on the classic Impreza three piece system, but doesn't exactly match any other Subaru.

If you're looking for professional advice I'd recommend Dan at Surrey Subaru Specialists. He looks after my FSTi (and a number of others) and my wife's WRX wagon.

Should any of you wish to hear my experience with Greenwood Racing Developments, feel free to PM me.

I talked to Howard at HDC about that, IIRC he said that to get the best fit with the hangers you need to add in a bit before the backbox as well as/instead of lengthening the tail pipe.

Thanks for the replies, the exhaust is completely standard apart from the back box, unknown make, but looks quite nice. Think one of the heat shields is rattling at the front, it has a lot of shields on it, looked under the car on Saturday, got to say it's pretty mint underneath.

If anyone's got a standard FTSi backbox I would be interested as mine has almost rotted through now. Not really interested in fitting a custom one, I'd rather keep it standard.

I've got one, but I've been holding onto it so I can sell it with the car or put mine back to factory spec.

Whereabouts are you? I'll have a think about whether I want to sell or not.
